What a crew sees
- Schedule: their crew's jobs this week, with the day, address, job, scope, weather, access notes, the contact with tap-to-call, the start time, notes and directions.
- Today: the same jobs, with the plant on the latest load ticket, the site photos and quick tasks.
- Loads: the jobs scheduled to their crew, to record truck loads.
- Their own expenses, the incidents they reported or are fixing, their own vehicle inspections and their own driver file.
What they never see
- The price of a job or a quote.
- What the company pays for materials.
- Margins, invoices, bills or reports.
Why
A crew needs the address and the scope to do the job, not the contract value. Prices and costs are business information that stays with the people who price and pay.
How it is kept that way
- It isn't just hidden on the screen. When a crew member opens a job, the database answers without the price at all.
- Prices show only to people who can see leads or invoices. The Foreman and Crew member roles can do neither.
- What the company pays sits behind its own permission, "See what we pay and the win or loss on a quote". A Foreman can manage an incident, but doesn't see what the repair cost.
If you give a crew role more permissions, or a crew member an exception, they see what those permissions allow. Check the table on Roles and permissions first.
