Report an incident
Anyone can press + Report an incident. The form asks what happened (up to 2,000 characters), the kind (Breakdown, Accident, Damage, Injury, Near miss or Other), where and when, the unit and the job (both optional), and photos from the camera (JPG, PNG or HEIC, up to 15 MB each). Then Send the report.
Reports are numbered INC-0001, INC-0002 and so on. A new report alerts the operations team. The person who sent it can't edit it afterwards.
From reported to closed
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Reported | It waits for a solver. The sidebar counts incidents with nobody assigned. |
| Assigned | A manager picks Who will solve it and presses Assign. The solver gets a task, "Fix INC-...", due in 24 hours. |
| In repair | The solver presses Start the repair. |
| Fixed | Record the repair: what was done, the date, the cost, the shop and the receipt (PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB). The repair goes into the unit's history. |
| Closed | A manager presses Close the incident. A closed incident can't be changed. |
- An incident needs a solver before it can be marked fixed, and fix notes that say something.
- Nothing goes back to Reported, and Closed comes only after Fixed.
- A repair doesn't reset the unit's service clock.
- Handing the incident to a new solver cancels the old solver's task.
Who sees what
- Every default role can report incidents and see their own: the ones they reported or are solving.
- "Manage incidents and assign solvers" (VP Operations, the Dispatcher and the Foreman in a new company) sees them all, with Need a solver, Being fixed and Fixed, ready to close.
- The repair cost and receipt show to people who can see job costs or money, and to the solver. A Foreman manages incidents but doesn't see the cost.
